Speaking
“You were one of the two most inspiring people I heard speaking at Placemaking Week Europe 2025.”
Wiktor Demos, Gdańsk, Poland
Mary Kerrigan presenting at ‘From Narratives to Action: Participatory Tools for Collective Resilience in Historic Centres’, Placemaking Week Europe 25; Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy.
This workshop was co-delivered with Emanuele de Angelis of Futurecity, London
“In November 2022 Mary gave an excellent short speech as she introduced the winners of the Best Loved Building Awards at the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings award ceremony in London.
Mary clearly explained the current heritage situation. She eloquently put forward a well-argued plea to transform all our blighted decaying buildings into loved and well cared for buildings. A big hope, however she was utterly convincing.
When she described the dire situation in our Islands I spontaneously cried: 'Hear, hear!' and the audience loudly applauded her.
Again, she speaks from the heart, and very brightly and clearly - and that's what grabs people's imaginations.
She has so much to give and she's gifted with the ability of communicating her ideas and passions.”
